Yoga – Art of Living for Healthy Life Style

CDr PC Reddy had long cherished the goal of re introducing Yoga among the Indian population. The inhabitants of the Mandal have been provided with this opportunity with support from SSVYASA University based at Bangalore. To begin with, 02 selected candidates from community were trained at VYASA Institute, Bangalore. They started Yoga classes for the community in the Total Health operational area under the guidance of a trained yoga instructor. An integrated Yoga initiative “Stop Diabetes Movement” for Prevention and Management of Type- Two Diabetes Mellitus has been initiated wef September 2016 in 15 Villages.


Yoga for Stop Diabetes Movement

Integrated Yoga Program under Stop Diabetes Movement for Prevention and Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus has been inaugurated on 18-09-2016.This program would aim to mitigate the complications of diabetic mellitus and initially piloted in 15 targeted villages for 200 diabetic patients. INITIATED INTEGRATED YOGA FOR STOP DIABETES MELLITUS in convergence with S-VYASA University, Bangalore.



Sports -Way out for Youth Development

Under the theme of “Bringing people together for creating better tomorrow through sports”; Total Health organizes a Rural Sports Meet on regular basis for the youth of Thavanampalle Mandal. The concept is to engage and involve all sections of the community in a constructive activity so that they are mentally, physically, spiritually and socially healthy to take face the challenges in their lives and strive to keep the community Healthy and Happy. The initiative also provides sports material and prizes to encourage the youth to participate in sports and other village development activities. 09 Volley Ball teams from 11 Gram Panchayats and Two Kabbadi teams participated in the events.
